Are you working on an exciting transformative project or essay? Maybe you’re involved in education and community work and have something that you would like to share? Look no further than our Discourse and Desserts sessions.
Join us for stimulating dialogues on the diverse ways practitioners identify and redefine solutions that benefit people who are marginalized. Using the Each One Teach One approach, you will interact, learn and engage with other educators, activists, and students about the contemporary ways they challenge society’s status quo and make meaningful contributions to social justice. Examples of topics and themes may include: race equity in education, student voice and engagement, beyond the research and data, intersections between classroom and community, or secondary education – what’s next.
Held monthly during the academic year (Sept – May), it is open to educators, students and community organizations.
Please check our website’s EVENTS calendar and/or our Facebook page for upcoming sessions and topics. Space is limited, so please register in advance via email to info@adbcc.org with the subject line “Discourse and Desserts.” Alternately, you may call us at 416-901-7720.
Third Thursday of every month; 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Admission: $10.00/pp
